Tasks. Without all the other stuff.

Keep track of what you’re building without turning it into a project-management exercise. Your team and your coding agents work from the same tasks.

Board + backlog

A board, a backlog and epics.

Keep active work on the board, park everything else in the backlog, and group bigger pieces into epics when you need to.

Comments + PRs

It all stays on the task.

Comments, decisions and pull requests stay with the task. No digging through Slack later to work out what happened.

Agents + plans

Give your agents somewhere to plan.

Coding agents make plans before they start working. Usually those plans disappear into a chat or terminal session.

KISS Tasks gives each agent a proper place to keep its plan alongside the task, so the work has somewhere to live before the code does.

Claude Code, Codex and other MCP agents can read the task, write their plan and work from it.

Why we built it

We built KISS Tasks for ourselves first.

We’re a small software team and we use coding agents every day. We wanted a board and a backlog, not another project-management system to configure. And we wanted our agents to see the work without us copying tasks into prompts.

So we built KISS Tasks. We use it every day to build KissCat.

We’re going to keep it small.

FAQ

Before you ask.

Is it really this simple?

Yes. A board, backlog, epics, tasks, comments and pull-request links. If you want custom workflows, dashboards and lots of configuration, there are better tools for that.

Do I need to use coding agents?

No. You can use KISS Tasks as a normal task tracker. MCP is optional.

Which coding agents work?

Claude Code, Codex and anything else that supports MCP.

What does it cost?

Free for one person. Teams are $10 per user, per month. No card required until you add someone else. Cancel any time.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Your tasks are available through the API and MCP.

Can I self-host?

No. KISS Tasks is hosted, so there’s nothing for you to run or keep patched.

The KissCat suite

Tasks stays small. KissCat grows around it.

Rather than keep adding things to Tasks, we’re building small tools around it for everything between someone wants this and it’s shipped.

  • Tasks Track the work. Live now
  • Scopes Turn an idea into tasks. Coming soon
  • Help Support customers and collect what they ask for. Coming soon
  • Plans Plan what to build next. Coming soon
